Yesterday
Yesterday
I was young and naive
I believe in things
That seemed like truths
To my unquestioning mind
I followed blindly like a sheep
I know better now than yesterday
I learned some truths of life
That I never knew before
I start to question things that is doubtful to me
To seek answers for things I do not know and understand
Today I know:
Not all things are equal
Not all things are fair
Not all crimes will be punished in this life
Not all love will be reciprocated
Tomorrow I will be wiser
I will learn from my mistakes today
So I can look back
Not with regret in my heart
But with understanding
For the choices I made in my life
I was young and naive
I believe in things
That seemed like truths
To my unquestioning mind
I followed blindly like a sheep
I know better now than yesterday
I learned some truths of life
That I never knew before
I start to question things that is doubtful to me
To seek answers for things I do not know and understand
Today I know:
Not all things are equal
Not all things are fair
Not all crimes will be punished in this life
Not all love will be reciprocated
Tomorrow I will be wiser
I will learn from my mistakes today
So I can look back
Not with regret in my heart
But with understanding
For the choices I made in my life
