Liturgy for My Ashes

We gather at this sacred sea where Lauryn was conceived to honor her soul's passing. As the ashes of this daughter meld with the winds of time, let us acknowledge the profound mystery of her existence. In death, the tether to life dissolves, and the flesh that was once an instrument of love and erotic pleasure fades into the silent embrace of the eternal. Our lives are whispers in the grand dream of creation. Today, we release her remains into the ocean depths as a testament to the cycle that binds us all. Her spirit though woven into creation and the memories of those who remain, has ceased to exist for all of eternity.

Author's Note
Since mother's death, mine own passing has always loomed near, so I wrote this for use at the spreading of my ashes. Photo is edited from one Shawn took recently.
