Image for the poem IF YOU CANT SEE ME

IF YOU CANT SEE ME

I you can't see my silence as pain and hurt
If your can't see me on the bottom in the dirt.
If you can't see me grubby with stains of fear and stinking with streaks of self doubt that shout rinse me out.

if you can't see me at my base camp with nothing how on earth will you be able to truly hear me above the silence of sound.

All I am trying to do is breathe inhale exhale until I know my mind is a rest amongst life's tapestry.

Where my thread is durable and bright enough to be seen when I know my worth.
When I can befriend fear and the uncertainties.

When I know I have finally reached my home.
