A Working Man
You open your eyes with the sun rise
Work all day 9 to 5
Boss man says he needs you over time
You never complain, not even on the worst days
One needs to work, it's all you ever say
In the work force you're the man
Who's tough as nails, with the perseverance to be reckoned with
You never stop, never quit,
You give all you have to give
You do your job the best you can
Yeah you're a working man
In the office or on a site
From morning, sometimes until late at night
Sun up to sunset
Until the job is finished you don't rest
Coming home after a long day tired
Taking off your boots, then a quick shower
Eating dinner then it's off to bed
Morning comes too early
You'll wake up and do it all again
Workin man
Without you there wouldn't be cities,
there wouldn't be towns,
there wouldn't be homes,
you make the world go around
The one all too often taken for granted
The one with a boss who at times takes advantage
Over worked and under paid
Yet continues working each day with no complaint
Because in the work force you're the man
who's tough as nails, with the perseverance to be reckoned with
You never stop, never quit,
You give all you have to give
You do your job the best you can
Yeah
You're a working man
A working man
