The Alchemy

I got caught in alchemy      
But in the end it was only me      
Our conversations were like magic      
I’ll miss them the most it’s oh so tragic      
So many similarities      
Even laced with hilarities        
I could not see how you didn’t feel this too      
A meeting of the minds as well as bodies too      
     
So much chemistry when we kissed      
How is it wrong to feel such bliss    
I was so sure you felt the fire  
Of our infernal desire  
   
I did not mean to cause any pain  
I threw myself into the ring of fire how insane

Because I never felt like this with anyone else  
 
Now I’ve drowned in the waves

My passion was too bright

I just wanted to get to know you more      
Our minds and bodies to explore      
I wasn’t thinking of consequence      
And so I caused much offence      
     
I wasn’t thinking at all like I should

I should’ve kept the tortoise in its shell      
I stay hidden because I don’t want this hell
For me it has always been you
So I stayed quiet this much is true  
Now I can’t listen to the Alchemy        
And I fucking loved that song, silly me
