Don't be such a Yoda
Sometimes I want to
scream and rant and wail
against the social constructs
that made me
how I am
I want to pout and
cry and act like a baby
because life isn't fair
and that's just not fair at all
And this is why
I hate you;
Your love so revives
my spirit struggling to breathe
and I can't turn away from
the beauty of the world
but sometimes
I still cry
for the simple joy
that I can love to hate
the love you give so openly
And you just smile
