The Co-Ed Killer
Young Edmund Kemper would decapitate his sister's cats
Hated his mother, which led to many violent spats
He'd play out his own death in grisly roles
Murdered his grandparents at 15 years old
He honed this facade in the coming years
While his private world contained much darker ideas
After only 5 years in a state facility
He fooled them all, with politeness & civility
Between May 1972 and April 1973
Kemper murdered 8 people, You can say that's a killing spree
A claw hammer to the head and a penknife slit her throat
The murder of his mother, he left the police a note
When he fled the scene
Heard nothing on the radio about these deaths
He decided to call the authorities
Stated his name, murder he confessed
They didn't believe him
Told him to call back at a later time
Finally asked for his friend, who's a cop
He believed him, and Ed confessed his crimes
