Glamour Girl

She sat before the mirror to transform into the
world's most meticulously glamorized face.
Which still has never won her a place.
A canvas of expression between bliss and terror.
She applied the thick black fans of lashes,
lustful human feathers.
Which still has never won the race.
She lined her brows into an arch of perfection.
To go a long with her secret black tears of deception.
Shiny plastic red lips are plumped, glossed and lined.
To make her fans crave a pressing kiss.
Never allowing them to miss.
All she was, was beautifully traced.
Beauty is shallow.
The naked mind is what's really deep.
