Veil

pressure
we felt the pressure
it was something
we never even thought about
easy
it seemed so easy
just work, come home
and love each other
sick
we grew sick
with all of life's problems weighing
yet it still feels like it'll last forever
but I see though the veil
everyday that passes
more and more the reality sets in
this journey will one day come to an end
but I'm so glad we ventured together
I know with each year
it's just gonna be more and more issues
with the halfway point behind us
but we'll combat that together
just like we always have
and when the day comes
when it's all over
maybe by then I'll find the words
to tell the world
just how wonderful you are
