Mirror Vision
My wondering has nothing to do with the world around me
You see, I am the reflection of a man in the mirror
My vision is limited by its frame
My presence, determined by the reflection of that shadow in the mirror
Hollow is my purpose, I am here
because I suppose
you and me, us and them, dreams and objects
And subjects that lay beneath the finite light
Take flight with their dreams, desires, and morals
Ah, how pathetically they attempt to tame their feral self!
Mirror holds on to your memory as long as you hold onto it
When your reflection reflects on the faces of other reflections,
What do you see?
I see decoded desires, eroded love, and
images distorted by faith
Have you ever talked to the silent observer of this mirrored play?
Oh, you illusioned one, deceived in believing that it has meaning,
Have you caught a glimpse of the real?
