Have you ever seen a storm
with thunder,lighting but no rain?
I cried today
thundering heart
lightning brain
no tears fell
to wash away my pain.
Have you ever seen a storm
with thunder,lightning but no rain?
Or tears that dry before
they leave your eye
that promised some relief
but did not ease your pain.
Have you ever seen a storm
with thunder,lightning but no rain?
Not a drop to water down your grief.
Not a drop to soak your parched and dusty soul.
