I Followed Your Rules

When you take an oath
when you vow to heal
a requirement should be to listen

you did not

so, I'm bouncing

you promised you could
make my quality of life better
you promised
It's far from better
but I'm going to make it better

I just lost five months of my life
five months I can't get back
five months that could have been productive
five months that I could have worked on getting healthy

You can keep your supplements
(that cost me hundreds of dollars I didn't have)
and your dime store advice
specialist my ass

I'm almost sixty years old
I think I know my body
If I tell you something is wrong
it's wrong

this is my big white ass walking away
from you and your
"only specialist in the area"
you can kiss it

I'll die before I let you do anything again

I was diagnosed with a rare disorder after I had genetic testing in September. There is only one specialist in my area. He's the only doctor who said he could make my quality of life better. I believed him. I thought I was going to get my life back. It got worse and he wouldn't listen to me. I sent him a letter. He was introduced to the Wrath of Mary. He will remember me just as much as I will remember him.
