Hand and Eye

My little guy has got the hand and eye

See a shape and put your hands in place
To receive what I’m delivering

As it’s coming in…depth perception kicks in
Two points on a map and intersect where you should be

He sees the ball and anticipates where
And what direction
The passing wind can have an effect
You have to put that  into the equation

Split second decisions between hand and eye
When you hawk that ball and hunt it down
It ends up positive with clapping all around

Next thing you know you helped the team
A star in the making but don’t succeed
Unless the team buys into what your selling

Having that spidey sense always helps
Like it’s happening in your head
A split second before it’s before your eyes
See where to be and pounce on it
As you dribble up the court
Or get two feet in
Translation across nations
Could be baseball or cricket
Or a corner kick yo dude that was sick
Or pitching shoes n throwing darts
Bullseye between hand and eye
Something not taught but imbued
