Ordinary Everyday
ordinary everyday
awake and then asleep
to wake again but not to stay
subconsciously we keep
fantasizing tantalizing
carrots on a stick
motivatingly inspiring
like a candle's wick
whose quiet flame is just the same
as the inner light
shining through the sometimes pain
in both day and night -
breathing in and breathing out
awake, asleep, among
all the beings hereabout -
the children of the Sun
moving ever onwards
electrically embraced
spinning forwards towards
what we each must face
in ordinary everyday
awake and then asleep
to wake again but not to stay
to sow as well to reap...
awake and then asleep
to wake again but not to stay
subconsciously we keep
fantasizing tantalizing
carrots on a stick
motivatingly inspiring
like a candle's wick
whose quiet flame is just the same
as the inner light
shining through the sometimes pain
in both day and night -
breathing in and breathing out
awake, asleep, among
all the beings hereabout -
the children of the Sun
moving ever onwards
electrically embraced
spinning forwards towards
what we each must face
in ordinary everyday
awake and then asleep
to wake again but not to stay
to sow as well to reap...
