Willow

Why not just sit and watch the willows.
Their branches weep in frozen havens below.
I aught to live like lost ones bringing the sorrows low.
Their trenches are deepened woes of satan.
The demons and specters and ghosts;
Lost souls who are broken while finding
Their pain is also their loss.
Who knows, why not just sit and watch them go?
Why not just sit and don't stop to block the blows?
The sky and the scene has lost all its gleam, leaves in the air still twirl as with care but no eyes can see them drop.

I have a few burnt edges.
I have some sins that I carry;
I sit and watch the willows,
Quietly raging intently.
Silently I dispose of them.
The ones who made my soul black and grey.
Finally after years of back and forth i made some big mistakes.
Please stop doing this to hurt us boy,
Please stop is exactly what they'd say.
Please just let us go...

How about no?

All my life I have only loved you.
Albeit through some doubts.
But then you went and your short time was spent hurting my sister.
You turned around and started to hurt me.
I tried so hard to be patient.
I made it my life motto.
I tried so hard but you hated how I wasn't alone.

So tell me,

Who is gonna listen to you now?

Who will watch the willows-
As they weep eternally?
Who will see their branches creep down into havens below?
I will dig your trenches.
Free your demons, your specters, your ghosts.
And you will find that your pain is also your loss.
And your happiness will be lost.

Maybe you could be a willow.
And sit to not block the blows.
Maybe you can grow up only to find your heart had spent up it's time and froze.
Maybe one day you could be the better thing that someone else could hold.

Maybe it could happen.
In life you never know.
It pays well to be humble.
It pays well to let go.
