The Echoes of Solitude
Darkness envelops me, a cloak of fear,
Shadows whisper, "You're alone, my dear. "
The world around me fades, a distant dream,
As I grapple with the weight of this unseen.
Memories of love ones, once so bright,
Now fade like embers in the fading light.
Their presence, once a beacon in the night,
Slips away, leaving me in endless plight.
Scars adorn my skin, a testament to pain,
A silent cry for help, a plea to regain
The strength to face the world, to find my way,
But the path ahead seems shrouded, day by day.
I long to be understood, to have a voice,
To express the turmoil that leaves me no choice
But to retreat, to hide from the world's gaze,
Trapped in a cycle of endless, haunting days.
The weight of loneliness, a heavy burden to bear,
Crushes my spirit, leaving me in despair.
I yearn for connection, for a hand to hold,
But the fear of abandonment leaves me cold.
In the depths of this darkness, I search for a light,
A glimmer of hope to guide me through the night.
I long to find the courage to break free,
To embrace the world and all it has to be.
The scars upon my body, a map of my soul,
Speak of the battles I've fought, the pain I've extolled.
But within this darkness, a spark still remains,
A testament to the strength that yet sustains.
I may be alone, but I am not defined
By the fears that haunt me, the doubts that bind.
For within this solitude, a voice whispers clear,
"You are not alone, my child, I am here. "
Shadows whisper, "You're alone, my dear. "
The world around me fades, a distant dream,
As I grapple with the weight of this unseen.
Memories of love ones, once so bright,
