Stalking Reflections

It slinks where the mirrors grow cold
Shadows pulse and warnings untold
Linger thick like a midnight mist
A grinning maw in the abyss

Twilight with ita crimson burn
Something from a shattered urn
Fangs drip echoes of silent screams
Its eyes ignite your shattered dreams

A breath you take, it takes one too
The glass reflects not just you
Its jagged form, a wretched sight
Born of fear, it thrives on fright

Twilight stretches, the minutes ache
The veil between worlds begins to break
Its claws drag whispers across the glass
A sound like bones that crack and clash

Run if you dare; the mirrors betray
Your every step, its favorite prey
In endless panes, it lingers still
A servant bound to twilight’s will

The beast, your shadow, your cursed twin
It waits for night to let it in
So smash the glass or close your eyes
But the mirror,  the mirror never lies
