Hey Devil
I say
hey Devil
please leave me alone
can’t you see I’m tired
of all this anxiety and constant doubt
maybe the world hates me
or maybe it’s all in my head
so what?
I’m different
I don’t need to hear you scream it
it echoes in my head
I can’t get a moments rest
this Christmas
doesn’t feel very marry
and I’m missing
my family and friends
especial the ones that have passed
the good ones leave early
yet the only one around here
is this fucking bitch devil
always trying to hurt me
always trying to bring me down
don’t think you’ll win
reminding me of my past
we all fail
but the thing about that
is we get just as many chances
to make it right
I’ll drown you out
with church choirs
and lights down town
because you Devil
are never right
and always wrong
