soul

 
discretion divine in my hallowed halls
sanctuary of heart interpretated
secreting away my soul
lest anyone see how soft I am

my heart alters according to my need
with prayers rising to heaven
grieving inward with despair
silently uttering my cares

please watch over my family
down on my knees I give thanks
grateful for fraility, grateful for sin

the knowledge recieved, is hard born
wisdom immortal, mine
sanctity of feeling within
my sacredness understood

with great care, I observe
learning what is good
with earnest hope
it will be counted good

epiphany of spirit
floating through life would prove nothing
trials sharpen my blade
and withstanding doubt I amend

keeping to what is of importance
rejecting what has no value
love of peoples my cornerstone
