The Woman of the Wood

Beware this woman of the wood
And her chants and dance that do no good.
She spends her days gathering mystical things.
To use at night to serve dark beings.
Promising infinite, earthly delights
Obscene fortunes, and lustful nights.
These things you seek will not come free.
And their cost paid out for eternity.
The pleasures promised are only a portal
For darkening and capturing your soul immortal
Don’t settle for her offers of pleasure.
There is a reward of far greater measure.
For those who share compassion and love
Who lift up others, high above
The misery and toil of daily existence
To offer kindly, needed assistance.
Take comfort in knowing that living right
Will protect you from this witch of the night.
