And lifted itself up more?
Has the vent ever seen your shivers,
And closed its warm healing doors?
Has the moon ever heard your tears,
And hidden behind a cloud?
Has the loneliness ever found you,
When you were in a large crowd?
Has your heart ever skipped a beat,
When you thought of those who left?
Has your family ever turned you down,
For all the secrets you’ve kept?
Has the blanket ever made you cold,
As punishment for your tears?
Has the figure in the closet ever acted uncontrolled,
When you admitted to it your fears?
Will you ever understand,
The reason behind my freight?
Or is this just another poem,
That may now seem too obvious and trite.
