Raining Tears

My dried tears
rose away with air,
stored in the clouds.

It grew heavy,
until they let it all down,
myriad drops.

I’ve grown cold,
my insides twisting
with frost creeping into every nook.

Drenched with salty rain,
dousing the impervious
blaze burning within.

Thunder wailed
across the funereal sky
for my fading soul,
soaring with inhaled petrichor.
