Triskaidekaphobia

Determined I'm ready to face my fears    
Unwinding my clock as destiny nears    
Climbing each step with anticipation    
Every step a memory of lifes frustration    
Decisions made have poisoned my demons    
Confined in this trap for many reasons    
Lost in a world I can't escape    
This is my chance to control my fate    
I've finally reached the top, the 12th floor    
Now searching for the roof access door    
Climbing the ladder to my dystopia    
Finally overcoming triskaidekaphobia    
The 13th floor on this rooftop it lies    
Facing my fears no longer can I hide    
Staring at the sky from my observatory    
Reliving every mistake, my minds purgatory    
Breathing in the dampened midnight air    
This 13th hour my soul it soon bares    
Slowly I approach the buildings edge    
Filled with courage I jump from the ledge    
The rush of air, the most peaceful sound    
Freeing my soul before I hit the ground
