Bitter pelt

With a glittered pelt
I masquerade as nuanced
I carry the reins of this character
Walk the miles I’m dealt—
stumbling over illusion
to breach the profusion
of unconscious rot
that embellishes the naught;
tethering blurry with bold
weathering scurry with scold
Ornamental inspire in fragments of shoal
sinking into the earth
into an abject rebirth
To sift sand from the valleys;
rip thorns from the rose
To propose upon the victor
A bitter pelt that enfolds
