Life's just a wham bam thank you ma'am

If we asked life for answers it might shrug
and say, don't ask me, like you, I just am,
but you might find answers in whiskey jugs,

Or that opium of the mass, the drug
of some church but, they might say, now you're damned!
if we asked life for answers it might shrug.

Zillions born then snuffed out, just like bugs
does it look like some thing might give a damn,
but the answer might lie in whiskey jugs,

But don't bother me I'm the fall guy, the mug,
when asked, 'what's life?' I repeat, I just am!
if we asked life for answers it might shrug,

And say, pass me the jug I need a slug
it looks like we've been canned in a fruitless jam,
but answers might lie in a whiskey jug.

So settle down folks, says life, let's get snug
Don't ask why just enjoy being, I am!
If we asked life for answers it might shrug
but we might find answers in whiskey jugs.

Speaking just for myself I find answers
on the bottom of my beer glass. But what,
I keep forgetting.
