Hate has been spread
Poisoned by rhetoric
Of vicious words said
Lies and deception
And political theater
We defy out values
Learned from our creator
We light on fire
An entire city
Inhaling the fumes
Misguided toxicity
Neighbor versus neighbor
Father against son
A global civil war
The war has begun
We are constantly told
They are to blame
Our illogical thoughts
We should be ashamed
Following false shepherds
We are mindless sheep
Herded into destruction
Our thoughts are asleep
City versus city
Town against town
In a river of blood
Our logic will drown
Arguments about immigrants
And who favors abortion
It's all just a smoke screen
Manipulated distortion
The economy is good
The economy is bad
We forget to be thankful
For what we actually have
We are distracted by
This government division
A wedge they've created
A surgical incision
To sow this chaos
And cultivate confusion
The boiling turmoil
Is all just an illusion
Across the country
Especially worldwide
For the elites to keep
Their powers inside
Their plan, they proceed
The hate that they breed
All just to feed
Their insatiable greed
They are willing to burn
Their own countries down
Nukes are then fired
As they hide underground
The price we are paying
The lives we sacrifice
The cost of our blood
That feeds their vice
Sown from the inside
This exploding eruption
A global civil war
Of death and destruction
