Heart

 
shining light tonight I risk my heart's alteration
wishes upon a prayer  
to come out my soul's lies
and divine honesty
 
sweet little wanderer keeping tight to belief
retreating to the shadows when the world gets harder
spirit child of life's lessons
blushing sorrow then smilining at you
 
taking in the pain  
cradling the faith that gave it to me
sweetly singing to the stars  
touching the sky with my sighs
 
I enter into the santity of dreams and visions
needful nightmares worry me
sinful regret what have I meant to anyone
even to myself  
 
when sadness calls me home to rest
and sorrow weeps for the spirit child
already ascending into the silence
 
humanity a curiosity  
being human not so much
paiful understanding in the revealing  
 
is the morrow blue for nothing?
