People on the Take .

I have been taken for a fool so
many times . That's is what happens
when you are too kind and caring.
Some would say a people pleaser.
Now though it has made me reflect
I want to not let my anger set in
because I will be the only person
who will suffer . I am not a victim
I was too much of a trusting human
a bit of a day dream believer
which made me a tool for giving
away to much . To people who quite
frankly didn’t give two fucks .
I was more of a hippy love peace
and all that shenanigans, it doesn’t
work . We seem to thrive when we
can demoralise and belittle people
and take more. No wonder there is
so much war and conflict in the world.
Now all these thoughts make me
hesitate and keep my circle very
small . Deep down though I think
what a state you are always looking
for the people on the take .
