Death Race

and they’ll say
haven’t you had enough?
(death and destruction)
(death and destruction)
to which I’d reply
not till they all reach the sky
so sit down
as we go for a hell of a ride

when I was alive
I tried to be the nice guy
was picked on
until I slicked my hair back
started wearing a leather coat
bought a ride the girls drooled over

was challenged to a drag race
couldn’t look week
so I said let’s ride
was head to head
until I went off a cliff and died
the resentment turned me evil
my soul fused into my car
yeah, it came alive
headlights like eyes
they doubted my skills
but this thrill is for real
when I run them off the road
everyone will know

head filled with whys
why couldn’t I be myself
why did I become this monster?
it’s all these prep pricks
that’s why I come back every year
to run them down
and everyone like them
