Lockdown

I'm in lock-down, an emotional wreck. I close up my mind, board up my heart. Sit in a corner, tear myself apart. You can help, temporarily of course. But I can't get out of lock-down, my beating heart the source. I dream of myself walking, down the broken lane. Picking up the pieces of,what i think, I had to my name. I go along the pathway, climbing to the core. To find the shattered crimson orb, my legs tremble, they're sore. the whole chamber goes black, and soon I lift my eyes. I have to go on, I have to survive. For her, for them, for my own sake. I'll escape the lock-down someday, don't know how long till I break.
