maturity
uncertain fate frightens me
never afraid in my youth
spin the wheel of dreams
visions speak for me
in the unveiled future
turn the key and open a door for me
the misty water seems cast against me
guilty confession I feel like it's my fault
no matter the case
maturity is taking responsibility for yourself
tit for Tat is a kids' game and it has no place in love
broken-hearted. I broke my own heart trying to get even
death couldn't come sooner
hateful curse I hurt myself
he seems immune to my vulnerability
honesty is voided he takes no responsibility
really it matters not
standing alone in front of the creator
he will not be reviewing my husband's actions it will be mine
he may find me not fit for a companion
trust is a well-laid foundation
so I ask my Father
and he asks how will I be able to trust you with my heart
a vow is a sacred agreement
disappointed in you is what I feel
let me see your valor
he is younger than you in the immortal sense
and though he holds things in he hurts too
compassion for a young soul is what I expect
free will is a big deal
I can soften his heart
but you must act in a fashion expecting what you earned
