turning the key and locking the door
saying farewell to death's shadow
as memories of my eyes fade to dark
drowning the pain of insanity's rain
leaving blood-red clock-worn tattoo
a faint mark that never fades away
stinging with every breath i take
and when i cease soon enough
the smudge will be absorbed becoming
ink-sculpted skeleton
