little angel

Little girl, why are you crying?

sensations of grief fall over me
stars rushing to their death
falling from the sky
they crash into us

leaving the heavens permanently
while some of us spend are whole existence
to be taken where they are

sighs and whispers
hush the angels are listening
my heart encourages my inner child
you see a beautiful place when you are finished
I hope it isn't just a fairy tale
maybe heaven is only for some

the stars being signs and wonders
it makes me curious about all of the star
and planet alignments
is the war in the heavens over yet
is there a safe dimension for us to enter
a straight gate

I don't want my spirit child to fret
lingers the doubt she's very smart
Twinkle, twinkle as another star goes hurdling across the sky
I wonder what's happening
I hope our future is brighter than
the advanced civilizations before us

while astronomers surmise there was life there and technology
while all the gadgets in the world can't save us
from something greater than those
our sun with solar flares is currently stripping Mars of its atmosphere

so I put my inner girl to sleep
and i try to pretend I have a solid foundation to stand on
because the more I study the more I realize
a lot of it seems like a fairy tale we've told ourselves

I put my hopes is Mother Nature
and never take her for granted she is beautiful
but she is also interactive
she will give back to you the energy you put out
so with respect for her
I put my best foot forward
and realize she can be deadly if crossed
