Fragmented dreams cut deep
Concealing hurt behind a grin
Dirty secrets crowding sleep

Insanity is located next door
Studying every last tendency
Time’s always keeping score
Strung out in it’s dependency

Idle threats missing the mark
Covered with a clinical desire
Calloused eyes spinning dark
Overt intentions must conspire

Sticky lies that complicate life
Buried beneath this heavy guilt
