The garden

Tried to feed me an apple
He said it tastes sweet
Bite through the skin
Enjoy this treat

You got me in the garden
Wrapped around my legs
“Have some faith,
Take a bite” he begs

A snake in sheep’s clothing
He slithered into the grass
Darting his forked tongue
My heart felt short to collapse

Feeling the air dance around my skin
We’ve passed the point of no return
This ecstasy was truly a sin
