Right and Wrong

Our chapter was erased from our pages,
before my eyes,
But the indentations remain,
Revealing all my white lies.

And my truth.

It was your arms that I've felt,
Since walking away.
Phantom limbs reaching out,
To steady me & lead me astray.

And to right my way.

My ambition now diluted,
Thanks to chasing mirages in the distance,
Broken treasures that never come to fruition:
There is no oasis in this desert romance.

And yet, I am still drowning.

This is about a person from years ago, not any recent developments (just incase there is any confusion). 🙂
Sometimes, I suppose, I prefer to write about loves I've lost....rather than those I've lost, but never loved.
