Poet on a Road who Shoulda known Better than to ask for a Hug

BEAUTY sewn into flesh and bone of my demons is
often ignored or overlooked by those holding
bible books, hoping
for halos gleaming

UGLINESS honed by those in 'blessed' clothes preaching is
often swept into holes,
mine stays violently bleeding

KINDNESS shown by us messes
erodes each season,
these acts
often deplored or mistook by brashly bold, those
liable to poke the tired to check their breathing
instead of
really reaching

LOVE grows in warm chests loaned
arms
to be squeezed in,
chests that have often wept,
quietly dreaming

SOULS are cold, embrace is one
way to help
us all cope with
lack of fire and hope fleeting

PLEASE, steal my freezing
feed me, see me
or float me words upon your gratitude and your vibrance

Give me meaning
show me the God of your reason

Death home to wet and cold admiring breezes
