immortal love
the music is playing and I'm having deja vu
falling through time, passing in the night
you were the heart of me
our bond greater than death
to die tonight would mean I would come back anew
and search each face until I knew I found you again
my vow to you will be fulfilled
in the eternal void I've sent all my heartache
born of the separation we've suffered
set at odds with each other blindly swinging
I will get to my feet and concentrate on what's at stake
I can't see you brother but I know you're here
sadness grows here you have happier places
it would be selfish of me to keep you here
I am in chains and bound it was the price to pay
to walk the earth with you
we are not trusted together
I came not to collect from you
but to take the blame
so you would walk free of chain and infamy
seeing you have many favorites now in the mortal realm
and really I am impressed by your growth
I am free in my own way
but make no mistake we are cursed should we pick up a weapon
in vengeance or otherwise, this war has cost me my mind
I would not wield a sword without fearing hurting someone I love
yes I understand your other affections
my love, I need to move on the best way I know how
please don't regret our love it is one for the ages
and you will forever be the soul bond I can't forget
you can come here when you like
I will grieve openly and I want you to be sated
as for me no one holds my interest in the immortal
I don't trust myself the reality of things has bent
finally, at the very least, I am aware of our past shared
with whispers on the winds I love you
