What's Living Inside Me

It isn't fair to expect you to fill my empty life
It is t fair to want you to love me as my wife
It isn't fair to pretend you're not with another man
It isn't fair to keep hoping he won't be the one

I'd rather end these reached nights
I want to pull out the plug and shut off the lights
I want to die, to end this misery
I can't take anymore of what's living inside me

Author's Note
An old poem I edited down from 4 stanzas. I may write a couple to add back in, but this was from  10/29/2001
