Image for the poem flame

flame

disturbed silence an onslaught of rage
it curled around me in thick angry smoke
billowing to the heavens
where it took notice of the vengeance

bullets took aim and hit its target
spooked by the vacous fury
spite stood up in all his irony
making sarcastic points
the last word was always his

the temperament of the day was nervous
anxiety crawled out of the scene
it was grandiose inflicted pride

arrogance was always lighting fires
his flame burn, there would be no arguing with him
his flavor was solemn but his ego was big

cruelly he cut with his sharp tongue
leaving his victims scarred
and in the aftermath he was sullen
that his intentions were so out of control

he worried about the anger still simmering
who would it claim next time
