Image for the poem siren

siren's song

I'm tightly bound to your silence
something about it entrances me
you allow my blue to flower

in the shaded garden of melancholy
gentle with your voice
so many rebuff me for my oddity
you listen patiently

when I talk you allow me my dreams
you could be cruel
my lust is laid at your feet
you recognize and appreciate the feeling
but we both know I'm dreaming

your heart is sacred to you
as it is meant to be
my heart is restless but pure when it comes to you
but a siren at sea has captivated your soul

I am great at providing a fascination
the depths of my soul
is vast like the ocean

in my deepest depths, I could love you
but my kind of intensity is only meant for immortals
swimming in your waters
I know what it is to wish

the truth is bare of decoration
sitting in your comforting silence is all I need
to soothe a heart still searching
