Epiphany (on the Last Day of Forever)
"Sometimes we don't know what we need and then what we need happens." C.E.W.
…...and it boggles the mind to think
that after all this time,
as we have traversed different roads
of life we find that in our now, “I am what you need”
yet
I am forced to entertain a “next lifetime”
because there is a he
and there is a she
“but I love your more”.......how can this be?
An epiphany
and I want you now
My mind tends to drift towards the lines of an old familiar melody,
“We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow?
We've got tonight babe
Why don' you stay? “
but we are so much more than that.........
….....wrapped up,
in moments unspoken,
words not seen (by the mind's eye)
your breath so fragrant, soft and so gentle
oft memories of a subtle kiss,
stirring an epiphany in my heart
"you need me...."
and I can never leave you...............
“He boggles me when he looks at me
I no longer see what is right before my eyes
Something happened and I don't know why
I begin to fall
She looks at me and alters reality
There's nothing more to see but what is right before my eyes
