Company
When the heaviness of the heart sets in
When silence grows so loud it deafens the ears
And the pain buried within suffices;
Then, all reiterated depression forms
a gravitational ball
And pulls the soul-
into whatever darkness it is capable of imagining..
Look then!
how fast I seek the company of one-
Who, on recognising my sorrow
offers me consolation.
Or how I, with vigour
give ear to a gathering of men
Talking- vanity and worldly joys in corners--
From which a certain level of comfort I attain.
Look then again!
How quickly the company I found
Like a flock of birds- flies away..
And how swiftly
the handful of comfort I grabbed
Disperses
Like sand in wind.
When silence grows so loud it deafens the ears
And the pain buried within suffices;
Then, all reiterated depression forms
a gravitational ball
And pulls the soul-
into whatever darkness it is capable of imagining..
Look then!
how fast I seek the company of one-
Who, on recognising my sorrow
offers me consolation.
Or how I, with vigour
give ear to a gathering of men
Talking- vanity and worldly joys in corners--
From which a certain level of comfort I attain.
Look then again!
How quickly the company I found
Like a flock of birds- flies away..
And how swiftly
the handful of comfort I grabbed
Disperses
Like sand in wind.
