Finally 21
Peer pressure and addiction
They go hand in hand
Rolling up a joint, the friction
My ignorance couldn’t have planned.
Funny how I’m past reliant
Well before my birthday
At a single mention I become defiant
The irony to get high on a workday.
I pray for a major event to set me in place
I pray to ignore the urge that makes my heart race
But now, I’m finally twenty-one!
And not a soul is willing to fix a helpless case.
They go hand in hand
Rolling up a joint, the friction
My ignorance couldn’t have planned.
Funny how I’m past reliant
Well before my birthday
At a single mention I become defiant
The irony to get high on a workday.
I pray for a major event to set me in place
I pray to ignore the urge that makes my heart race
But now, I’m finally twenty-one!
And not a soul is willing to fix a helpless case.
