Freedom In The Quest
As we sit among history to learn from the past to move us to unite in our best efforts of a universal one love future
The Haitian Revolution with the ex-slave Toussaint Louverture emerging as Haiti's most charismatic hero (1791–1804)
“Thank you all for inviting me to sit at your table and enjoy this ceremonial dinner. I am honored to be among the past and the present.”
Author SKC (Novelist) Minister Farrakhan, with all due respect, I would like you to clarify a quote that Malcom X stated May 1963 during an interview given by Alex Haley, Playboy Magazine. This is his quote in broad terms.
Thoughtful white people know they are inferior to Black people. Even [Senator James] Eastland knows it. Anyone who has studied the genetic phase of biology knows that white is considered recessive and black is considered dominant, unquote
Author SKC (Novelist) Minister Farrakhan, are these expressed emotions in this day and time valid for the African American male/female to hold these words in truth and in merit.
Minister Louis Farrakhan (Minister of the Nation of Islam) You know, it's not unreal to believe that white people—who genetically cannot produce yellow, brown or black—had a Black origin. The scholars and scientists of this world agree that the origin of man and humankind started in Africa and that the first parent of the world was Black. The Qur'an says that God created Adam out of black mud and fashioned him into shape. So if white people came from the original people, the Black people, what is the process by which you came to life? That is not a silly question. That is a scientific question with a scientific answer. It doesn't suggest that we are superior or that you are inferior. It suggests, however, that your birth or your origin is from the black people of this earth: superiority and inferiority are determined by our righteousness and not by our color.
Author SKC (Novelist) In this day and time being we are at an all time high time of racial disparity, Where are we heading in the future, and will there be a dividing of nationalities, we have come such a long way to cross the sound barrier of accepting each other ethnicities and cultures.
Toussaint Louverture (Haitian General and best-known leader of the Haitian Revolution whom you lead the Haitian to a French Revolt) The revolution of Saint Domingo was taking its course. I saw that the whites could not endure, because they were divided and because they were overpowered by numbers; I congratulated myself that I was a black man.
Author SKC (Novelist) We are slowly coming out of this pandemic, unto the threshold of civil unrest, is there a possibility the unemployment rate from the dire effects among society made us more aware we are all equal.
Rev Jesse Louis Jackson Sr. (American civil rights activist, Baptist minister, and politician) When we're unemployed, we're called lazy; when the whites are unemployed it's called a depression.
Author SKC (Novelist) I've always wanted to ask one of the co-founders of the Black Panther Party, You rose to power due to a young man being shot in the back by a white officer, and today we are faced with the same occurrences, however with the #BlackLivesMatters, found after the acquittal of George Zimmerman in 2013 for killing a black youth, Trevon Martin. How are the two in comparison in fighting for equal justice and the equality of life.
Huey Newton (An African American political activist and Revolutionary) You can tell the tree by the fruit it bears. You see it through what the organization is delivering as far as a concrete program. If the tree's fruit sours or grows brackish, then the time has come to chop it down - bury it and walk over it and plant new seeds.
Black Power is giving power to people who have not had power to determine their destiny.
Author SKC (Novelist) Reverend Al Sharpton, you have been vocal in your political uprising to advise the African American community to adhere to the beliefs, we demand justice in allowing people to be held accountable in the injustice, of police brutality. How has your first march On August 23, 1989, regarding four African-American teenagers were beaten by a group of 10 to 30 white Italian-American youths in Bensonhurst, resulting in the death by one Bensonhurst resident, armed with a handgun, shot and killed 16-year-old Yusef Hawkins. The marches as of today, has the tone change, due to the intensity of the matter.
Reverend Al Sharpton (An American civil rights activist, Baptist minister, talk show host and politician Al Sharpton is the founder of the National Action Network) It seems some have chosen to ignore or have simply forgotten the big-picture vision promoted by Dr. King and his kin. Let me be clear: as I have said repeatedly, I do not believe that all police officers are bad, nor do I believe that most are bad. But there must be a transparent, impartial and fair system to judge those that engage in criminal or unethical acts.
Author SKC (Novelist) Minister Farrakhan you have been preaching separatism to the degree to allow the black man to hunt, grow, or manufacture his own passage through life, How are we to accomplish this, when our hands are tied behind our backs, yet are mouths are open, and our minds have been systematically programmed to rely on others than relying on our own people.
Minister Louis Farrakhan (Minister of the Nation of Islam) Black leadership has to recognize that principles more than speech, character more than a claim, is greater in advancing the cause of our liberation than what has transpired thus far. Could it be that my circle is largely black and that it is why I am influential in black circles but not in white circles?
Rev Jesse Louis Jackson Sr. (An American civil rights activist, Baptist minister, and politician) To allow injustice and inequality invites a Ferguson to your community. We must stand together, black, white, brown, red, and yellow and fight for justice and equality for all. It's the only way to avoid more Fergusons.
Author SKC (Novelist) I must ask each one of you, is the struggle of what our ancestors fought, which is freedom, after the Emancipation are we really free, or has the time changed and the old age philosophy “ Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe catch a nigger by his toe (circa 1820) Is that philosophy still a deterrence for us to stand on our own in terms of progress from within…”
Toussaint Louverture (A Haitian General and best-known leader of the Haitian Revolution whom you lead the Haitian to a French Revolt) I took up arms for the freedom of my color. It is our own - we will defend it or perish.
Reverend Al Sharpton (An American civil rights activist, Baptist minister, talk show host and politician Al Sharpton is the founder of the National Action Network) From racial profiling and being pulled over just for 'driving while black' to this new phenomenon of killing unarmed people out of some preconceived idea of fear, our lives and our children's lives are not being valued.
Minister Louis Farrakhan (Minister of the Nation of Islam) Everything that I'm attempting to do is based on my understanding of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and what he wanted for his people.
Huey Newton (An African American political activist and Revolutionary) Any unarmed people are slaves or are subject to slavery at any given moment.
Rev Jessie Jackson (An American civil rights activist, Baptist minister, and politician) You can be out of slavery and have the right to vote, but unless you have access to capital, industry and technology, you can't fulfill your dreams.
Author SKC (Novelist) I sincerely thank you gentlemen for sharing some of the greatest knowledge of the past to stand upon the principles of today and allowing me to sit at this table to enjoy such a festive of mental food for hearts to feel and minds to adhere.
Until our beautiful souls blend in seeking or reaching the truth, stay blessed.
