Worth Dying For
I stand on the shoreline at dusk
The ocean waves are turbulent, and bite at my bare skin
As the horizon steadily changes to a soft orange pink
My body is in one place and my soul is in another
Slowly, I lift my foot and let it hover over the water
For even the faintest hope of reunion and reconciliation
Is worth dying for.
