House of Cards

I may be tiny, but I cast a large shadow
I value authenticity, so donít go acting shallow
If this is too much to take, then go on and take a break
Or you can walk out that door, but I donít want you tomorrow.

You drive me insane when you play this game
Like a house of cards thatís doomed to fall
I hate the way that youíve prolonged your stay
Iíve been running even before I learned to crawl.

This is the last straw; yet you say you canít understand me
Iím not the one playing mind games; stop giving me the third degree
Is this how you treat me after everything? The ice has melted to give way to spring
Iíve cut out the remnants of a bond still attached to you; my heart and soul are finally free.

You drive me insane when you play this game
Like a house of cards thatís doomed to fall
Our connection could have gone a different way
Yet youíve chosen to build up an emotional wall.

You say it was hard to get me to relax
Yet it takes two to tango
I will no longer participate in this dance
The universe holds the answer, and itís been made known.
