Lemon Lame

Shit ain’t sweet
But I’ll never admit defeat
Even if it’s neatly folded
Placed at my feet
Because when life gives me lemons
I throw ‘em in a blender with ice
I like my problems frozen
The glass I’m holding
Always seems half full
My cup used to runneth over
Until I took a sip and realized my gifts
Were too precious
To waste and throw away
Matter fact get some tequila
Mix it in and take shots to the face
Make sure you garnish my shit with the lime
Every time
I think about giving up
I remember the reason I live it up
Life gave my cousin a ton of lemons
About 5-60 to be exact
Time that he’ll never be given back
All the letters he sending
Take me back
To when we were children
You know when things were simple
As a ice cold glass of lemonade
Now look at what a mess life has made
You would swear we chopping onions instead of lemons
Cause now we both in our feelings
And if I could, I’d take a fraction of the time you’ve been given
Just to see you home sooner than later
It’s free you till I see you
Ask the judge to do me that favor
If not I’ll just plan a caper
Because lately all the lemons I been getting starting to throw off the flavor
