Sunrise
I couldn’t sleep
And the sun was already rising
So I decided to watch the sunrise
Might as well make my morning a bit more
Pleasant
And it was
Even though the houses were blocking my view
I could still see a few clouds and colors
It was peaceful
Quiet
It felt nice
I should do this more often

Its good that you found a quiet peaceful moment. We need those to balance out the chaos loudness of life. Find you moments. Enjoy them and experience them. You should do it more often. Not just the sunrise, but moments that are just for you. Moments that feed your soul.
Meanwhile, on the other side of things, I go through extra effort with blackout curtains to avoid the sunrise. To get every last minute out of the dark, the moments before the monotony of life set in. That is my quiet, peaceful time. Every morning as I lay there in the dark for those couple extra minutes. Just being in the moment.

Me too! I love blackout curtains they help me sleep. But I got my ears pierced (again LOL) and so it was uncomfortable and hard to sleep. It was very peaceful though, until my dog started barking at a leaf!
