Drive-through feelings,
hopeful moves and
love-drunk gazing;
plans for something.
Bubbling romance,
friction, sensation;
minds wandering
and soon after, wavering.
And it all, here
and like yesterday,
happens, and ends
before there’s more.

I appreciated every range of anticipation in this piece. The grace you’ve written with about this process is fantastic. Each stanza is an excellent example of the three prong dating experience. I’m not sure why it has to be such a to do but, here we are. Awesome insight, great write. H🌷
